Some of the Best Orange Juicers You Could Find Right Now!
When you’re certain that you’re going to get one for yourself, you’ll hit the market. Trust me, there is an overwhelming number of juicers out there. They can range from simple hand tools to automated and electric models.
So, which product should you buy? Don’t worry, we’ve done the hard work for you. After spending a healthy amount of time, we’ve come across seven products that can do the trick for you.
Here, I’ll talk about their purpose of use, construction, ease of cleanup, how to pick them apart easily and re-assemble them, the quality of the juice, the pulp extraction, the continuous juicing, and other important factors.
There’s also a buyer guide in the end so that you know what to look for in an orange juicer. But for now, sit back, relax, and read on…
1. Cuisinart CCJ-500 Pulp Control Citrus Juicer
Don’t worry, this nice little machine is easy to use and efficient as well. It can extract more juice than its competitors on the market. This compact juicer also has clever features like an auto-reversing reamer and something called final-spin. Let’s see what more this product has to offer.
Cuisinart CCJ-500 is a great piece of kitchen tool, to be honest. It’s really easy to operate and looks super cute when you place it on the countertop. Build-wise, the juicer is very compact and lightweight. You can also push the cord into the base. However, what really caught my eye is how quietly it can work.
Yes, less conundrum in the kitchen… more juice in the glass. All quiet on the kitchen front.
The housing is made of stainless steel and there’s a spout that you can move up. This little ingenuity really made my day. Let me tell you why. Every time after juicing, the juice drips on the counter and makes a mess. By moving up the spout, when you’re done, you can stop the juice from dipping. Clever, right?
So, how it works? Well, it works like pretty much any juicer but the difference is in its efficiency. Here’s how it works:
In the reamer, there’re three settings for low, medium, and high pulp extraction. Rotate the cone according to the arrows. Here’s a tip: you can get the most juice out of fruit at room temperature.
So, don’t start juicing immediately after taking the fruit out from the freeze. In that case, keep it outside for at least one hour.
Back to how it works, a universal reamer with those three available options makes it quite a versatile juicer. You can extract juice from the smallest lime to the largest grapefruit, let alone oranges. To begin extracting, slice the oranges horizontally.
Place the center of the fruit on the reamer. Keep your hand over the fruit and then press. The reamer may reverse direction if you take your hand off and press it downwards again. This is the ‘auto-reversing feature. It rotates in the opposite direction to extract more juice.
You can also try squeezing the orange while pressing down to get more amount of juice. After a very short time, you will feel the reamer through the rind. When you feel that, remove it. It means that the rind is dry and all the juice has been extracted.
The juicer isn’t done extracting, not yet. It gets out its secret weapon: the ‘fast spin’ feature. To activate it, just gently place the lid on the unit and press down. It will get all the remaining juice from the pulp and juice container.
Eventually, you’ll see a slow drip. Release your hand and the unit will come to a stop. Turn the reamer all the way to the left and separate. As a matter of fact, the entire top piece comes off easily. When you’re done, it’s advised that you clean the juicer immediately.
Because if the pulp becomes dry, it’ll need more time and energy to clean it. So, rinse gently after each use. If there’s a lot of pulp residue, use a scrub brush.
It’s pretty easy to clean this product since the entire top piece comes off So, rinse gently after each use. If there’s a lot of pulp residue, try using a scrub brush. These parts are also BPA-free and dishwasher safe. To clean the base, you can simply wipe it with a clean cloth if you feel the need to.
Last but not least, it has great warranty coverage. The Cuisinart Citrus Juicer CCJ-500 has a 3-year limited warranty. it reflects that the company is willing to stand by what they make. Despite some complaints about the reamer’s design, I think it’s a fine little juicer that can help freshen up your day with its service.
2. Chef’n (Lemon) FreshForce Citrus Juicer
This colorful little juicer is simple and pretty effective. It’s solid in the making as well. Made of heavy plastic and steel, this whole thing weighs a full pound. Case and point: When you hold it, it won’t feel cheap at all.
Makers claim, this FreshForce Citrus Juicer can extract 20% more juice than normal hand-held products of a similar kind. I don’t call it one of the best orange juicers available for nothing! That’s because it uses a ‘dual-gear mechanism’. This feature exerts lots of force on the fruits. Hence, more juice.
A standard juicer has many faults in its design. Well, they are bound to have those. They have rather simple mechanisms. The franchise somehow manages to work some kinks out. For starters, squeezers aren’t that easy or comfortable to use as they might seem.
They turn the citrus half inside out and flatten it by pressing hardly. That dual gear mechanism offers the users more control than those standard hand-held juicers. The FreshForce handle is rough and made of strong nylon. They’re comfortable to hold and also slip-free.
Comparing with others, you’ll get a smoother experience while extracting juice using this particular squeezer. I am tempted to say that this may be the best orange juice press out there.
Moving on to the interior of the cup, it’s rough. That means more friction when you squeeze the handles. The inside is also lined with concentric ridges. What this does is that it doesn’t let the fruit slip out of place.
These ridges have another purpose. That is to keep the stray squirts of juice from spreading out of the top of the cup. This is a very annoying issue with other squeezers, but not with this one.
Besides, at the very center of the cup, there’s a small cluster of drainage holes. It gives the juicer good aim. If you have a glass with a small radius, still you would have no problem at all. Not only that, but it also lets through a small percentage of pulp and seeds.
As for oranges, I would suggest you buy the large, orange-sized one. The smaller sizes might not cut it out considering the oranges being a bit large. So, get a large one. They will be perfect for no matter the fruit size.
They can extract juice more smoothly and with minimum effort. FreshForce also makes less mess when you’re juicing. No wonder it is considered as one of the best manual orange juicers out there.
This squeezer from Chef’n is a great choice if you’re into a less complicated and minimalistic kitchen tool. But being minimalistic and simple doesn’t mean it can’t perform. It works swiftly. There’s no grinding back and forth, and no juice in your hands.
In short, it’s cute, simple, and effective enough to extract more orange juice (read pretty much any fruit) from the peels than any other juicer. So, why not give it a try?
3. BLACK+DECKER 32oz Citrus Juicer
To be honest, it’s a funny-looking juicer. It has this freshness about its design that I found warming. It has a solid base, a transparent juicing container that has cup and ounce marking. It’s a nice little touch from the manufacturer.
It comes in really handy for those who want to use the juice for recipes. Although, I just use it for making juice it feels nice to look at it anyway and knowing how much juice I’m getting from a certain amount of orange slice. Yes, there’s also a pour spout which makes it rather easier to pour the juice.
The whole thing, however, is made of plastic where the base of Cuisinart CCJ-500 was made out of steel. Yet, the handle of this CJ625 from Black+Decker feels strong and sturdy. The container is also solidly built and you can juice up to decent 34 ounces in it.
The juicer has two cones. One is for large fruits like grapefruit and oranges and the small one is for lime and lemons. The large cone has a self-reversing feature like CCJ-500 from Cuisinart.
How’d I make the juice? Well, the procedure is the same. If you take off the fruit from the cone and press it again, the cone will rotate in the opposite direction. This way, you get the most amount of juice from the fruit.
Not to mention, the strainer comes with a decent pulp control. You can easily maintain how much pulp you want in your juice. As for me, I set it to the max because I like it that way. If you don’t pulp in your juice, you can always set it to the lowest setting.
Simply slide the bar on the strainer to the left or right to control the pulp amount. The pulp residue will be collected inside a basket. You can easily remove it or dispose of it in the trash later on. There’s also a storage cover that stays on top and the cord can be wrapped on the bottom.
Well, theoretically it’s super easy to clean. But if I’m being honest, I would have to say that, it really takes some practice to disassemble all the strainer parts. Being plastic, there’s always a chance you could end up tampering with it.
But after some time, you should feel really at ease while cleaning this juicer. Apart from the base, every single part is top-rack dishwasher safe. I, however, would highly recommend washing it with hot water and dish soap.
if you don’t wash it carefully mold can find its way inside and you don’t want that. So, rinse the parts with care and try using a bottle brush for cleaning the tricky areas. It shouldn’t take more than five minutes to wash it carefully. As for the base, just give it a nice touch of a wet cloth.
Although, some might say that the juicer makes a kind of weird noise. But I was totally fine with it. It seemed okay for a juicer. Like Cuisinart, it also has a solid 3 years of warranty. If you love some fresh juice, you can definitely look this product up.
After all, it doesn’t cost much and does the work just fine.
4. Tribest CS-1000 CitriStar
First of all, you don’t want your juicer to be a complicated machine. You want it to be simple and efficient. The CS-1000 is exactly like that. It has a humble design. But from the look of it, it might look too humble. Aesthetically, it could use some pizzazz.
It might look so simple and humble but it has a decent amount of power inside it. It has a total of 50 watts that provide the necessary strength to extract juice from any kind of fruit.
Some customers would say that the motor is a bit noisy, but to me, it seemed fine. This is powerful enough to extract all the juice in a short period of time.
Moving on, the Tribest CS-1000 is quite easy to operate. The other juicers that I’ve already talked about like Cuisinart, FreshForce from Chef’n, or the 32 oz Citrus Juicer from Black+Decker, all require a hands-on approach.
But that’s not the case with the CS-1000. There’s only one button and you just need to press it to begin the juicing process.
This, however, means that there aren’t any additional features like Chef’n and Cuisinart’s auto-reverse or final-spin. I would suggest not to think of their absence in this product as a downside. Because most of us want a simple everyday juicer that can get the job done. No-fuss.
Yet, it does have a double reamer for your convenience. You can use it for all-sized fruits, especially oranges. The smaller one is perfect for lemon and limes while the large reamer is for oranges and grapefruits.
The fact that the Tribest doesn’t have any fancy features, makes it one of its biggest strengths: being easy to use. Just plug it in, place the fruit accordingly and start juicing!
To improve this product further, they added a high-clearance stainless-steel spout. It prevents clogging and ensures continuous operation. This handy flip-up switch also lets you control the flow of the juice and helps you to keep a nice and clean countertop.
As for cleaning, this electric juicer comes with a smart locking mechanism. It works quite well and prevents drips. The strainer is made from stainless steel and it also prevents those annoying clogging. Being made of steel, the strainer is super easy to clean…it’s barely an inconvenience.
Overall, this CitriStar by Tribest is a juicer that can deliver excellent performance days in, days out. Your daily dose of antioxidants can be provided by this compact-simple juicer. The efficient design and decently powerful motor require minimum effort from you to make nice and fresh orange juice every morning.
5. Eurolux ELCJ-1700 Electric Citrus Juicer Squeezer
The Eurolux looks very premium with its silver color. Not only it looks premium but also feels like it. The design is very sleek and practical at the same time. Comparing with its other counterparts, this juicer has a relatively small proportion.
This rather petite size has both positive and negative aspects. The positive side is, being small you can store it or use it anywhere you like. As for the negative, there’s a chance that it can fall over if it’s too close to the edge.
But the manufacturer at Eurolux thought about this issue and came up with an effective solution. To prevent the juicer from moving, they have added suction cups. These cups will keep the juicer stable on the surface and prevent it from falling or any silly accidents.
On another note, if you’re tired of cleaning your countertop every time after making juice, take a pause. This juicer makes sure your workstation stays nice and clean…thanks to its patented anti-drip feature.
In terms of practicality, this juicer passed with flying colors. I’ve already mentioned how fun it is to use. I’m going to elaborate it now…
When you want to make orange juice or let alone any citrus fruits, you don’t have to press it down with your hands. It has a strong handle that’s made out of still and for good grip it has rubber wrapped around it.
So, it’s durable and not rigid at all, if you think the handle mechanism is a bad idea. Anyway, after pressing the fruit on the reamer, all you have to do is gently press the handle. This process of making juice is fun. You can even teach your children to do that and participate in making breakfast.
When you’re done, just simply let go of the handle. It will stop juicing automatically. You’ll be happy to know that it gets the most out of a fruit slice and also in no time.
Don’t think otherwise about the only one cone policy. Because it’s universal. It can fit all sizes of fruits. Also, the filter is decently large. So, use it multiple times without cleaning it. These features are there to make sure you get the maximum amount of juice with minimum effort.
Speaking of minimum effort, you can clean it in a flash. The parts are easily removable and you can clean them individually. As already mentioned about the big filter, you don’t need to clean it very often. So, it’s a win.
Moving on to the motor, it has a quite powerful one. The 160-watt motor can offer the necessary power to extract all the juice from the fruit in a matter of seconds. Remember CS-1000 from Tribest? This juicer has only a 50-watt motor. Another win for the Eurolux here.
One more thing about the motor is that it’s even quieter than Cuisinart CCJ-500. So, if you ask me this juicer has both qualities of a decent juicer. It’s quieter and works like a charm because of its powerful motor.
In terms of functionality as a juicer, you got to love this product. But what really makes it stand out in the juicer market is its surprisingly low price. If you’re looking for a decent juicer within an affordable price range, I’m sure you’ll find it very alluring to give it a go…
6.LUUKMONDE Electric Citrus Juicer
Let’s see, what this juicer has to offer…
The design has no atrocity whatsoever. It’s simple and looks cute at the same time. Don’t worry, the build is strong. The exterior is made of stainless steel and there’s also a clear indicator led light for your convenience. The juicer also comes with a protective cover to keep the dust out.
In terms of capacity, the pitcher itself can hold up to a quarter-gallon of juice. So, yes…this juicer is perfect for making large batches of juice. Throwing little parties with delicious fresh orange juice as refreshments, count me in!
Also, the pitcher is made of BPA-free transparent plastic that has clear measurement markings on its side. This can come in handy -if you’re thinking of trying out new recipes for your family members or friends.
The base, on the other hand, is very sturdy and stable. Here lies the motor. It generates 40-watts of power. Now, you might think, only 40! Isn’t that a bit less? Well, you have every right to ask this question. Let me tell you why this is for the best.
You see, when the motor has more power like Eurolux or other high-end juicers, they seem to create more heat. This heat my friend is the archenemy of a good quality juice. Because the heat destroys vitamins, enzymes, and other important nutrients.
Whereas the LUUKMONDE extracts juice at a slow speed. So, it doesn’t heat up, thus it can preserve all the vitamins that fruit has to offer. In other words, this juicer gives the purest form of orange juice possible. It smells good and tastes fantastic.
See where simplicity leads? If you ever want to have fresh orange juice you know where to look.
Since the structure and design are very simple cleaning this juicer is also very easy. You can easily disassemble several parts. They are built in that way so that you could wash them without any hassle. These removable parts are also dishwasher safe. But I would highly recommend washing it manually.
This juicer is by far the most inexpensive juicer that you can find in the market. I’m not recommending it, only because it costs less, but also it can deliver excellent results. Considering all the features and with that low price tag, this is one of the best orange juicers that I’ve laid my eyes on.
7. Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus Juicer
Don’t write it off yet because this sleek juicer features a powerful extractor arm that exerts up to 2000 lb of pressure. No motor, no electricity, no nothing. That insane amount of pressure is more than enough to extract juice from your orange slices.
This mechanism is somewhat revolutionary if you ask me. Although it does seem to take some inspiration from Eurolux’s handle design. But Hamilton’s structure is far improved and better. It has a ‘rack and pinion gear system’.
You necessarily don’t have to waste time on what this is but believe me when I say that this is the best design I’ve ever seen in a manual juicer. What this basically does is that it ensures that the pressure bearing down on the juicer is directed straight towards the squeezer.
Most of the time, manual juicers connect to the edge of your workstation or countertop. God forbids, if the machine somehow slips, damages can be done.
But Hamilton Beach 932 Commercial Citrus juicer is designed in such a way that it takes a lot of pressure off the countertop and minimizes the risk of it flying off or damaging your counter. This particular design has also made a couple of things easier for juice enthusiasts.
For instance, if you want to throw a party, this device little effort. It does not cause any fatigue to your arm. You can chat with your friends while making juice. Unlike the other products where you need to actively squeeze orange slices on the reamer, ultimately, you’ll get tired of it.
Just in case you own a small café or diner, this juicer from Hamilton Beach can save you a lot of time and it can even cut down your employee cost. It’s a win-win.
Enough about the mechanism, let’s talk about its build quality and other intricate features. To make sure it stays in one place, it has suction cups under the base. It keeps the juicer in one place and stops from moving when you’re working with it.
Hamilton Beach 932 has a clever design that allows the drip cup to move smartly. This drip cup helps to keep a nice and clean countertop or working area. This small cup, however, should only be used when you’re extracting juice from small fruits.
But if you’re juicing large fruit…say orange, just simply move the drip cup out of the way and place an appropriate-sized glass or container under the unit. When you’re done, slip the cup right back where it was before to prevent any further dripping. Nice move, Hamilton.
Cleaning this product has been made ridiculously easy. The removable cone-shaped strainer is so easy to take out. Simply wash it with warm water and dish soap. When you’re satisfied with it just slip it right back in. The strainer also does a fantastic job of keeping pulp from entering your juice.
To be honest, this is a heavy-duty juicer. It also means that this juicer is more than capable of taking care of juicing citrus fruits. The Hamilton beach comes with a decent one-year warranty and it can become a fine addition to your home kitchen or restaurant. No matter where you intend to use it, it will deliver.
What to Look for in an Orange Juicer?
Modern technology has paved the way for new inventions that made our life super easy, particularly in the food department. So, to maintain a healthy lifestyle we have so many gadgets and tools at our disposal, namely a juicer.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle requires us to develop a habit of eating healthy. In this era of stored food, it’s very hard to practice that habit. Citrus juicer… in this case, comes as a blessing. Not only it gives us fresh juice but also makes our life so much easier and healthier.
Unfortunately, the market is swamped with juicers. There are so many options available that, most of us cannot make sense out of them. We feel helpless and confused by the numbers and the varieties.
Here, I’ll discuss some of the factors that you need to check before you buy your orange juicer. So, please read on carefully.
What Do You Want? Electric or Manual?
You must make up your mind before you hit the market. Decide what you’re going to buy, an electric juicer or manual juicer. Both of these juicers have positives and negatives on their sides.
First of all, an electric juicer will cost more. With the extra bucks, you get extra features and convenience that are normally absent in a manual juicer. They also require you to give minimum effort.
So, if you’re always in a hurry before leaving for work, you can minimize your search area by looking for an electric juicer only.
On the contrary, manual juicers have their perks too. They’re normally sturdier, simpler, and produce freshest orange juice than the electric ones. They’re quieter and you can use them anywhere you like. They don’t generate much heat, and you can store them easily, given the fact that they’re less bulky.
You also have to remember that, oranges are a very easy fruit to juice. So, it won’t make much of a difference whether you have an electric or manual juicer. It’s actually a matter of personal preference. So, think about it and chose what will meet your end.
Is Your Juicer Made of Quality Materials? Is it BPA-free?
The next thing you want to check is the build quality of your juicer. What materials have been used to make the base? Is it durable enough? Normally, most juicers are made of either stainless steel or plastic. It doesn’t need much saying that steel is going to last longer than plastic.
Since you are going to use the juicer quite often, even so regularly, check for a juicer that is mostly made of steel. Plastic parts can break easily if it is used frequently. They are less likely to withstand heavy usage. Want your juicer to last? Choose the one, that has the better build quality and quality materials.
Not that plastic parts aren’t durable enough but many manufacturers can’t get the best out of them. So, there are good juicers that have quality plastic parts such as FreshForce Citrus Juicer from Chef’n. It’s durable and sturdy. The gear mechanism is also made out of plastic.
But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s one of the best manual orange juicers there is considering the service it provides. One more thing, in the case of plastic materials, be sure to check whether it’s BPA-free or not.
Juicer companies make sure that there’re no chemicals peeping into your juice. But it won’t hurt to do a double-check, right?
Does it Have Enough Stability?
In most cases, juicers are not heavy machines. That’s why there’s always a chance that it’s going to fall off if you’re not careful around it. That’s why being stable is very important. Especially for electric juicers, when you’re making juice with them, they seem to vibrate and move because of the motor.
Good juicers have a strong base that holds the motor and gives the whole unit a firm position. Many juicers, both electric and manual, incorporated suction cups under the base. It gives them the necessary stability it needs to stay in one place.
Now, you might ask, should I look for stability in manual juicers since they have no motor inside them. As a matter of fact, you should. Because you see, the manual juicers normally work with the pressure that is directed downwards to squeeze the juice out of the fruit.
When you exert force, it creates pressure on the whole unit. If the base doesn’t have stability, it might cause the whole unit to slip or even damage the countertop. Think of the last product I talked about, the Hamilton Beach 932.
It’s manual but still produces an insane amount of pressure. That’s why the company added suction cups and non-slip feet.
Take Container Capacity into Account
This matter always depends on how much juice do you normally need. There’s no need to go for the large capacity if you don’t need a big amount of juice. It’s that simple.
On the other hand, if your family needs more than one quart of juice daily, then you must purchase a juicer that has a bigger capacity. It’s also a must if you regularly hold brunches or throw little parties.
One more thing, not all juicers have containers inside them. It might not be such a bad thing if you think closely. Instead, they have a spout. So, you can decide what to use to store your juice. Don’t worry about the container at all then.
While still speaking of the container, I want to add two more things. The first one is that, make sure it has measurement marking on its wall. It might come in really handy. The second one is that how sturdy it is and is it BPA-free?
Is Your Juicer Simple and Easy to Use?
I have to have my juice in the morning. I’m pretty sure most of us want the same thing too. It is also in the morning where we are the busiest creatures. So, to quickly make your juice, the juicer has to be easy to use. It shouldn’t require much time and attention.
In short, it shouldn’t be difficult to maneuver. If it’s electric, plug it in, place the orange and start juicing. If it’s manual, well…all manual juicers are easy to operate. Remember the Eurolux ELCJ-1700 model? It’s so easy to operate that, even your children can make juice using this machine.
Consider Ease of Cleaning and Maintenance
Juicer is a kind of machine that we use every day. This also means that we have to clean it properly and regularly. This chore bores me too. Even the thought of it, makes me want to leave it for later. That’s exactly why your juicer needs to be easy to clean.
As a matter of fact, most juicers are pretty easy to clean. It’s barely an inconvenience. But it’s only an easy task if the juicer’s parts are simple to disassemble and reassemble. You don’t want to spend the whole day taking part in and out just to clean them.
So, look for juicers that have easily removable parts. But before you begin to detach the parts, it’s advised that you go through the manual first. Some parts might feel tricky to remove. Give it time, make yourself well acquainted with your machine, and hopefully, you’ll find it easier to handle it than before.
How Effective is the Pulp Control?
People have a love and hate relationship with pulps. There’s no middle ground here. You either like it in your juice or not. Whatever it is that you prefer, make sure your juicer has decent pulp control. It’s important because, by controlling the amount of pulp, you can get the juice in whichever way you like.
Personally, I don’t like pulps in my orange juices. But it so happens that other members of the family or even friends could like some portion of pulp in their juice. Some juicers have nice ways to control the pulp. Get one of those. You want your juicers to have this sort of versatility.
Look for Additional Features
Some might think that juicer is a juicer. What more can you expect from it or how advanced can this be? Well, this is exactly where you might want to look closely. Because several juicers have some intricate features included. They can make a huge difference.
For instance, some juicers have ‘auto-reversing’ and ‘final-spin’ features. They make sure you get the maximum amount of juice extracted from the oranges. The clever tweaks sometimes also come in handy like a flip-up spout. This type of spout can really save you a lot of time by keeping a nice clean countertop.
The Last Drop
I’m pretty sure you already have a good idea about the importance of having the best orange juicers at your disposal. A good one can add new dimensions and bring a feeling of freshness to your life. However, choosing the one that’ll meet all your requirements, is tough.
But it’s not impossible. In this golden age of consumerism, it shouldn’t be that difficult to find a perfect product. There’s something out there for everyone. I believe my recommendations will prove to be a great help for all of you. Also, feel free to take a peek at my buying guide if you’re planning to do your own research.
